No more cookies!
The holiday season is a time filled with parties, family gatherings, and lots of food! For us, from Thanksgiving until after the New Year’s celebration there is an excess of both food and sweets available almost daily.
It seems temptation doubles itself during the holiday season. Since none of us gets a free pass to eating as much as we want, whenever we want, you need to practice a little self-control…right? Well, yes and no. It is unreasonable to expect us to pass it all up and say ‘no thank you’ as the dish is put down in front of you with all your senses at full alert status. A little indulgence is perfectly fine.
However, at this point in the holiday season, I am starting to crave some simple things like a plain baked potato, salad, veggie and a small amount of meat. I blipped this plate of cookies that were tempting me today. I gave in and had one two three and my stomach rebelled. Ugh, I was queasy *burp* and cursing myself. My whole body is begging for normalcy! That is it, no more. I am done with all the goodies.
Tomorrow we are going to a friend’s home for New Year’s Eve and we will be having dinner there so I will just do the best I can. Starting New Year’s Day, I am back to eating healthy.
