Main Street USA

I was walking out of the pharmacy in the town my sister lives in and it was just about dusk.  All the Christmas lights started to come on and I couldn't help but wonder why we don't have small white lights out in front of the shops all year long.  It makes everything look so inviting.
It was much colder today but with a very bright sun in the sky.  It will be cold tomorrow night for all the people in Times Square bringing in the New Year. I'll be watching it from the warmth of my living room.
