Ladybird

Prompted by a fascinating programme last night about the history of Ladybird books, and by Lathyrus' reflection on same, here's one I was awarded at primary school.

Inscribed "Top of Red Team".

No recollection what "Red Team" might have been, other than perhaps some remnant of a house system.

While watching the programme Cupcake mentioned that he'd been excited to find my Ladybird "Motor Cars" on the shelf when he was small; then disappointed to find they weren't exactly current models!

At work today and tomorrow. Didn't venture out at lunchtime.

Unpleasant trip home, mainly because winds around here don't hesitate to throw you around the motorway lanes, but it was nothing compared to journeys elsewhere around the country.
