A Day Worth Recording

Memorial

<<< One Street: Trumpington High Street

The war memorial (for both world wars) is a prominent feature of the high street, albeit marred by the proximity of yet another set of traffic lights.* It's also blipped here, by Vertical Puddles.

Edit. In the afternoon, trying to plough a furrow through another in-tray, namely the clear-up and archival of my late mother's paperwork, I've found various items of my father's - including his war record sheet and a post-war ration book. Strangely apposite to the morning's photograph.

Backblipped yesterday.

When we were trying to get to Meeting this morning the queue to get into Waitrose's car park this morning was utterly ridiculous - filling the entire mile length of the high street.

I pity 'S' who's working there temporarily. No, sorry, there is no Brandy Butter.

*in the 1.9 miles from Long Road to the M11 there are twelve sets of traffic lights. Strangely, Trumpington is known for its traffic congestion.
