Awesomecake

Take two creative sons/cooks and a bare Christmas cake, mix and leave for a day. Voila, one gingerbread nativity.  Awesome.

In contrast, our trip to Oxford to collect A was sub-awesome.  

We'd diverted slightly via Gloucester to pick up some bits the plumber needed, that the shop had promised would be ready for collection.  Hah.  

Four uninterested staff and 20 minutes later I'm presented with a bag of bits, that turn out later to be the wrong bits.

En route to Oxford the radio informs us of an accident at the Pear Tree Roundabout that was causing major congestion.  How on Earth am I supposed to know which junction "The Pear Tree Roundabout" is, and, more importantly whether it's relevant my route?

Thankfully E did know, and routed us around it.

Route back was less of a mess but still far longer than it needed to be.

Plumber arrives and we spend the evening hacking the central heating.  Wasn't quite what I had in mind.
