The British Library
In London visiting Rob for the weekend and essays are calling, so we decided to combine sightseeing with work and make a visit to the British Library (I've never been!). After a bit of procrastination (gift shop, café, free WiFi) managed to get 700 words down over cake and hot chocolate in the café - we ended up working there, partly for the cake, and partly because the actual working spaces were so badly lit...? Anyone know why this is? We couldn't get into the reading rooms because we weren't registered, but the outside working spaces were so badly lit it'd be pretty hard to read. We found this rather strange for a library, but maybe that's just us.
Not the best photo, but it was a nice view from our booth, and was much more inspiring than the view of my back garden.
