Choccywoccydoodah

Mum and I have been into Brighton today - it's been lovely and sunny so we walked along Madeira drive, onto Palace Pier and then carried on up to West Pier. We then headed into town and went to Choccywoccydoodah which is a Chocalaterie specialising in the most amazing chocolate sculptured fantasies and besoke wedding cakes. They're quite well known and have been on television.

I took this photo from the street, looking through their window and it's worth taking a closer look to see the intricate detail of this Christmas cake. They really are works of art, but aren't cheap - there was a chocolate Westie dog which I would have like to have bought for Alan but it was £30! They look too good to eat and the dog look more like a china ornament, so we settled for some strawberry champagne truffles which I think were the cheapest thing in the shop! After drooling over the chocolate, we went for a light lunch and then I took mum to the Pavilion ice rink to watch the skaters.

Alan finishes work today and isn't back until 2nd January, so Christmas can officially begin, but unfortunately I'm now full of a cold and not feeling great. The virus that I thought I'd shook off the other week, seems to have come back in full force, so I'm dosing myself up and hoping I can fight it off quickly. Anyway, it's the start of the weekend - hope you have a good one!
