We have lots of wedding garlands or arches at church, we had one for my daughter's wedding last August and I have photographed them and featured them on blip in the past.

This is the first time we have had a Christmas one with baubles and lights. I think it looks lovely and and can be seen twinkling away at night. It was put up by the vicar and his wife ready for our Nativity weekend ( see yesterday) and other forthcoming festive events over the coming weeks.

All the nativities were left up for today's morning service and you can just see a glimpse of two of them welcoming visitors and congregation alike in the entrance here. A closer shot here showing the talents of out flower arrangers. They will be busy again later in the week with seasonal arrangements and candles. We have our first carol service tonight at Wilsden (the next village) as we are a joint choir at Christmas. We will do it again here next Sunday.
