Nativity Weekend
One Street 25
We have had a very hectic day holding an open church Nativity day. People brought a wonderful array of nativity 'cribs' ranging from very traditional to modern, home or craft made and even Playmobile and Disney. The nativities were arranged around the church which was open from 10.00am till 3.00pm.
It was hectic as we were providing refreshments all day too. Hot drinks including mulled wine, toasted teacakes; scones; mince pies; cakes and best of all Turkey, stuffing and cranberry rolls.
They will still be on display tomorrow for the morning service before people take them home again to make them the centre of their own Christmasses.
This wooden nativity scene is displayed on the top of the font.
Also Corinthian Column posted this knitted one from her visit to the church today and Yorkshirebred.
