Countdown to Christmas - GM Christmas Trees

A mere 15 days to go!

The inter-breeding of Christmas trees to produce the perfect specimen has gone badly wrong in Hertfordshire.

Genetic Modification at the Rothampstead Experimental Station, Harpenden has resulted in a new subspecies - Pinus Trifidus which is ambulant and spits a toxic substance resulting in a slow and painful death of any person who is within 2 metres of even small trees.

Here in Redbourn, the trees are being corralled within sturdy picket fencing to prevent further deaths.

However, I'm sure there were 3 trees in this encolsure, between the war memorial and the lamp post when I drove past earlier....

John Wyndham, eat your heart out!
