Countdown to Christmas - Going Crackers!

Only 16 days to go!

It takes a lot to make me blush - but tonight at the pub ....

I did it in spades!

Those of you who follow my journal will know that I work in 'The Local' a couple of evenings a week, cooking and waitressing.

This evening there was just one person booked for the Christmas dinner - a guy who eats there most Monday evenings.

I laid up his table beautifully, and thinking it looked a little sad with only one cracker, I placed two on the table.

After he'd eaten his starter -soup- and main course of turkey with all the trimmings, I noticed he hadn't pulled the crackers, so I offered to pull them with him.

The token from my cracker fell to the floor, I picked it up - it was a pink heart shaped ring!

He looked inside his cracker and there was another heart shaped ring!!!

I was, for once, lost for words!

He thought I'd planned it!

I hadn't!
