You've heard of snow angels...

well, today I found a raven angel. I have been searching for these bird imprints ever since I first saw an image of one. They fascinate me...what was the story? We had a couple inches of fresh snow that drastically changed the lake surface today. It took me awhile to figure it all out. I had to come back home to get a step ladder so that I could get a decent angle on this. Then I notified the husband that if I didn't come home it was because I was venturing forth onto ice of undetermined thickness to get this image. After trailing tracks and imprints I finally came across a piece of animal hide, somewhat bloody, but I will have to confer with people more in the know to identify what animal met its demise last night. Did I mention that I freaking love winter!?!
