Fire and Ice...

By Robert Frost
1874–1963

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

Last night we dropped into the single digits (F) and along with that came the wind. Although the sun came out today, it did little to warm things up and the temperatures and wind combined to create some very interesting ice encased objects on the lake as well as things like this that rather looked like frost heaves. I ran down to the lake to capture this one as the sun set and couldn't help but think of one of Robert Frost's more famous poems.
Thank you yesterday for all of the stars, hearts, and comments. I will be responding to those very soon.
