Welsh Candles
We've come up to Snowdonia for the weekend. It was my brother's birthday last week and we always come up to see him around this time.
We had been planning to leave at 5pm, promptly after Miss E's swimming.
We actually left at about 7pm - after a return visit home as I realised we'd left without any footwear of any description for Miss E. We'd put them in their jim-jams and carried them to the car!
This time a couple of years ago I managed to come without any clothes at all for her. What's wrong with me?!!!
The journey up took forever. We had to take a detour as the M54 was closed near Telford.
Miss E was complaining that "Wales is far". When she asked why it couldn't be five minutes away Mr K and I both replied in unison "Because then it would be Buckingham!"
It is worth the journey. Mr D lives in a beautiful tiny village ten miles from the main road. The middle of nowhere!
Luckily the Little Misses slept all the way up and didn't stir when we put them in their beds.
It's nice to be back. Can't wait to wake up and see the mountains.
