Holiday Horsies

This beautiful horse and wagon team was giving rides to shoppers in Fairhaven today and of course just begged to be blipped. I had a little trouble catching up with them which might seem odd but they were moving a bit too fast so I had to try and position myself where I could get a clear shot. Since I didn’t know their route exactly I picked a corner to stand on only to find out that they’d gone another way. By the time we connected in the right spot at the right moment I had done some serious walking, but it was worth it. I thought they were just beautiful animals, and their presence just made the holiday season seem special. It’s one reason I love my little community. It’s a really special collection of small independent shops where the holiday atmosphere is so much nicer than it is in the city with its large box stores and malls. Everything here seems gentle and friendly instead of frenzied.
