Here's Looking At You

I know -- that's dull, but so is this blip. It was a blip-bleak day because I was at work and then spent my lunch hour plus at the eye doctor because I have some interesting flashy floaty things in my left eye and thought I'd better get that attended to before I woke up blind or my eyeball exploded. Turned out it's not terribly serious but the doctor wants to keep an eye on it (ouch!), and I'm to see him again in about six weeks. That's okay -- he's really nice and I like him.

I had a minor retinal tear in my right eye several years ago which was fixed with an exciting laser gun adventure I don't care to repeat, so I'm paying attention to this. The doctor tells me this is kind of like gravity playing with the goo in the eyeball -- he likened it to a lava light (remember those?) Personally, I'm a little ticked off at gravity -- my eye isn't the only body part it's playing with.
