Look outs

Someone closely connected to the long arm of the law, recently commented that the dogs almost always looked in different directions when they were Bliped, and he's right. However there are times when I need them to look in all directions and today was one of those - Christmas Tree stealing time. Great job they did, I am still a free man.

Last night it clouded over and didn't get that cold but managed to put down a dusting of snow. Today has been a wonderful mixture of snow showers and sunshine. The horses loved taking an early morning roll, shame Sultan had already caked himself in mud yesterday. The dogs are in their element, Luna in particular loving following the tracks and scents which seem to stick on the snow. Even Flash came for the walk without hesitating and just like the horses, had several rolling sessions. I had expected to have to walk in the forest but we picked a 90 minute sunshine spot and lapped up walking over fields. As we crossed the stream back on to the property it started snowing again. At 16:00 when I fed the chickens, it was pretty clear and -3°C. Would prefer cloud as it will not then be so cold and more snow would be good for protecting the fields from Sultans playful bouts.

PS Don't worry officer chief constable, Luna was neither a witness or accomplice to an act of robbery, theft or damage to state property. No need to send Kommissare Ritter & Stark or ask your Interpol connections to send Inspector Barnaby and Miss Marple.
