Derek graduating - again!

Popped over to see Derek graduate from Coventry today - Derique really is a Paramedique now! Took the PhotoSoc Speedlite over and, although it took me a while to get used to it and a lot of the photos came out over-exposed or shadowy, I managed to get some nice shots, including this lovely one of him and his Dad when they weren't expecting it. You never get the tie-adjusting shots in proper graduation photos. It was so lovely to see him and his parents again. I rarely ever get to see Derek these days now he's in Cambridge (although of course I see him much more than last year), and I hadn't seen his parents since our road trip across the US with Jason and Chris. Really missing Pasqual's black bean burritos and margheritas.

Must try and rent out the flash again so I can really learn how to use it properly.
