Through the window...
I have noticed a tremendous increase in the number of birds at my feeders since the weather turned colder. House finches like this one account for a high percentage of the visitors, along with goldfinches (Thursday's blip), sparrows, and woodpeckers. I was excited last week to see a red-breasted nuthatch because they rarely stop by. Unfortunately I didn't get a good blip of him, and he (or she) hasn't returned. I will keep looking though. Where there's one, there may be more. Rain fell again today, so I captured this blip by quietly opening my kitchen window and poking my 70-300mm lens through the opening. Got kind of chilly though!
