It's time for Thanksgiving!

Tonight was the annual Thanksgiving dinner at our church. We gather to enjoy a turkey dinner with all the traditional fixings, to decorate the church for the beginning of Advent, and to give thanks. It's a multi-purpose event. As it happens, I was on the set up and clean up team, so I didn't get too many pictures, but it was a fun evening.

Thanks to everyone who shared comments on yesterday's blip of Carrie's tree. When I sent her a link to the blip, she said she had been thinking about that tree and wanted a picture of it. She remembers being six and in first grade when she received the seedling on Arbor Day. Now she is thirty and apparently the memory is as special to her as it is to me.
