Ivy Blossom.
Ivy is supposed to provide valuable late nectar and pollen for bees, all the beekeeping books say it so it must be true. But the story goes a little deeper than that, people will often tell me that the ivy is in flower in early September yet, when I look, it is only in bud - and it can be in bud for a very long time. We're now in late November, and while this has been out for a while, I wasn't aware that it was available to the insects until long after any sort of bee had stopped flying. It must be of value to some pollinator, but I never see anything foraging here.
