Cairngorms
Woke up with the promise of 80mph gusts on the plateau to look forward to. So we went…
Took a nice wander up Glen Feshie before taking the long track up to the summit of Mullach Clach a' Bhlair. Needless to say we weren't even "buffeted" never mind hit by 80 mph gusts. Got to wonder about some of these forecasts. The bit they did get right was the occasional shower, but Jo, Sharon, Colin, Adrian and myself managed to all but dodge them through the day and even got some great light as we descended into Glen Feshie from the summit to Ruigh Aiteachain bothy. Had a we stop for lunch and wandered back to the car. Colin, Sharon and I then headed off to Kingussie for some "supplies" which led to the near inevitable stop in the pub.
Back to the cottage where Lucy made me a grand pasta and chicken dish and we then settled down to the serious business of drinking and talking pish. Student Andy decided somewhere about midnight that he had an archaeology essay to finish. As we had all enough whisky to become archaeology experts we had to give him a hand. He ended up going to bed with a plastic bucket for safety reasons. I don't have high hopes for that essay.
Oh aye… and this shot hasn't been converted to mono!!
