From sticks they grew...

These two maples are growing in pots under our pergola, and I couldn't resist blipping them in their November glory.
They both grew from small sticks bought in Woolworths. My mother bought them and under her tender care the little sticks began to sprout. She had several, so I took these on. They must be older than they look!
I think that they could have bigger pots next spring, especially after this colourful show.
Busy day, out til mid-afternoon, glorious walk this morning but cloud cover made it quite dark by three thirty!
