Shopping Fun

I can't help liking this cover of this week's edition of "The Lady". It is a picture from 1951, and I can remember my mother having a bike like this and her shopping in her basket - maybe not the tree though!

Channel 4 are planning a documentary in the new year, following the stories behind the famous Classifieds and Recruitment columns.
My experiences are just a few holiday cottages found through them, but no doubt some of the nannies will have good (?) stories!
