Dancing on Ice

This morning I met my friend Barbara for a hot chocolate and a catch up before going to the French group, and then I went into town to meet Kate and Chrissy for lunch.

We went to the Pump House for a drink before going to the Giggling Squid which is a Thai restaurant. The name of the restaurant was quite appropriate as Kate had us in fits of laughter in the pub. We got chatting to a lovely couple, Dianne and Peter who were in their 70's, had both been widowed and had 8 children between them. It's amazing what you can find out about people in such a short period of time, and they said they'd really enjoyed meeting us and that we'd livened up their afternoon!

We had a great meal and then wandered over to the Royal Pavilion where the ice rink opened this weekend. I couldn't persuade Kate or Chrissy to go skating but I'll definitely be going back :-)
