Day 3: A Driving Passion

These beautiful Autumn-flowering bulbs were given to us by my Uncle A. Last night we received a very sad phone call to say that he had passed away that morning.

Uncle A was only in his early 70s and was passionate about travel, he and my Aunty spent more time exploring the world than they did at home. His other passion was cycling. Last month, whilst out cycling, he was hit by a car and thrown off his bike. As a result of the accident, he underwent scans where it was discovered that he had cancer. Two weeks later, he passed away.

Tales like this make you realise that you shouldn't waste a single day of your life, and that you should live each day to the full.

So today I am grateful for my passion for travel, and my desire to get out there and discover more of this wide world...
