A little ray of sunshine

Pirates and Gruffalos

After a busy week, J and I finally had a free morning to sit down and make a start on his pirate topic homework. Thankfully after his initial reluctance he quite enjoyed it.

My afternoon was spent making pies for Sunday lunch, nice to get ahead when we have visitors. The children disappeared upstairs and were acting out the gruffalo story but decided they needed to make a deep dark wood. Just enough time for chopping trees out for them to colour before I headed off to sit in the staff room, watch telly and knit work. Always less injuries on a cold wet evening, and with the BBC broadcasting the National Theatres 50th Anniversary celebrations, the evenings viewing was far more enjoyable then the usual Saturday night offering.
