A little ray of sunshine

Through the Roof

A very enjoyable Sunday spent with my husband's older brother and family visiting. We had a relaxing lunch and then headed down to the Mill for the final day of the Cloth and Memory (2) Exhibition. It was a lovely clear afternoon with the sun lighting up the stone work of the mill beautifully. This was my third visit to the exhibition and as much as I enjoyed the work, it is being in the roof space of the building that I enjoy most. It runs the full length of the mill, 169 metres with sky lights along the length. The chimney to the mill is 180ft tall so it's striking to be in the building and so close to the top of the chimney. I love the contrast of the structure of the roof space and the Yorkshire stone.
