Party Time

3pm is along time to wait from getting up when you are four and it is your party day. So this morning William and I spent two hours collecting for the Poppy Appeal. He did very well and I think pulled in a few pounds that I wouldn't have got on my own.

Party time finally arrived and he was so excited he couldn't stand still. Emma from Little Possum Parties ran the show and made sure William felt special whilst keeping all the others entertained. Just when William thought it couldn't get any better, Tree Fu Tom turned up for Pass the Parcel! I thought he might just explode. I was obviously spoilt for photos, although I didn't take as many as I would have liked, Jim did his best and this is one of his. We didn't get one of him blowing out the candles, but we may re-enact that tomorrow.

All in all a great day for a four year old. Carys did well today too, playing second fiddle to the birthday boy for the second time in a week is hard even when you are six and a half, but she was lovely with all the kids. Most of them know her from the school yard and gravitated towards her when they were at all uncertain.

I've never said this before, but it is better viewed large.
