Cool veg!

This is a romanesco broccoli and its very nice indeed! I'm sure lots of you have had it before but this was my first time and I love it. Not only does it look incredibly cool (a bit like you'd expect it to have been shipped in from some distant galaxy....) but it tastes great. Kind of broccoli mixed with cauliflower. Two of my fave veggies, so can't go wrong in my book :D

I met Mags in town today and we had lunch with her pal Lorna who somehow made it up here from Montrose despite the weather! I've got to say I think I'd have been tempted to stay in where its nice and dry and you don't get stuck on a train for hours on end, but good for her, she got here and we had a cocktail to celebrate!

Although its only a couple of weeks now until M goes to Australia we are completely consummed with thoughts on our America plans and can't stop talking about it, thus boring everyone we meet! So excited though, its giving me something huge to look forward to and I think I really needed that at the moment :O)







PS. Still looking for any avaliable info, so if you know anything about traveling in the States please share any advice/ideas with me here in my blip or even here on my forum thread.
