Soggy harvest!

Today was actually relatively rain-free, the sun even popped out a couple of times! Apparently with all the really bad weather lately its been a terrible harvest this year and as a result all of our food prices will inevitably rise again :( There are quite a lot of fields around here that are still un-shorn so hopefully we are going to get a wee patch of dry weather this week and they can still be done even though its getting quite late on in the year now.

I was guilted into church with mum today. Its the 21st Anniversary of 'Inverness Christian Fellowship' so a bit of a special occassion for them. Mum is the only church-goer in the whole family now and I know it deeply saddens her that the rest of us aren't interested. So I thought on this one occassion I would go for her, after all she does do an awful lot for me! I did try to make it clear this was a one off though, theres no way I'm being dragged there every sunday when I'm up here, however I think that now shes got me there once she reckons it will be easier to persuade me again. Not going to be the case. Wouldn't be so bad if they had comfy chairs!




PS. Still looking for any avaliable info, so if you know anything about traveling in the States please share any advice/ideas with me here in my blip or even here on my forum thread.
