'Shrooms!

Its just the perfect weather for them isn't it? I've suddenly noticed that mushrooms are popping up everywhere around these parts. Nothing magic about it, just really cold and damp!

Its dad's birthday today and we didn't really have anything planned (he's not big on birthday stuff and we are all skint!) but we headed out this afternoon intending to go and have coffee and cake somewhere different. By different I mean not at 'The Storehouse' because m+d are already in there almost every day!

After some discussion about where else there was to go we ruled out Inverness on account of its being a bit crap - and not wanting to go to M+S for a birthday! Ruled out 'Tomich' as its also a bit crap with no atmosphere and a feeling like a canteen. So we set off to 'House of Beauly', but it was closed. So we went to Strathpeffer but everywhere was closed there too!

Eventually we found somewhere on the road back out and went in, but it was insipid tea and rubbish cake.

We gave in and went to The Storehouse on the way home and had lovely coffee and scrumptious cakes. Sometimes the place you go most often is that place for a very good reason. Its a damn sight better than anywhere else in the vicinity!



PS. Still looking for any avaliable info, so if you know anything about traveling in the States please share any advice/ideas with me here in my blip or even here on my forum thread.
