The storm that wasn't

We had some fairly strong winds overnight, and a fair amount of rain, but on the whole, we got off lightly. There are lots of leaves on the roads and pavements (but it's October, so that's not unusual) and I saw a few wheelie bins that had been blown over, two roads in Frome were closed for a while this morning and the river was high, but that was pretty much it in this little corner of Somerset. And yet Warminster, which is only about 10 miles away, made the national news!

Update: 5 minutes after uploading this, we have lightning and storm rain!

In other news, we are off on a(nother) mini-break tomorrow - Oswestry, here we come!
