Before the storm....

This was the sky this afternoon on our way home from York. This is as it was captured on my I-phone, no faffing whatsoever. That damson sky against the autumn colours of the trees at the side of the road looked amazing. It's not as sharp as it might be as I was leaning out of the window of the car at the time as hubby was not inclined to stop for the sake of a blip today. He was keen to get home before the rain and in daylight, neither of which was achieved, but we did get home safely and in time to see Louie and Lola before bedtime and catch up with post-holiday cuddles. We had a great weekend but as always it's nice to come home, especially to the welcome that only grandchildren can give!
