A work related blip from me tonight of the notice board in the Garioch Community Centre in Inverurie. I was attending the monthly meeting of Inverurie Community Council to update members on some work we are doing in Port Elphinstone. These meetings are held in the centre, a place dear to my heart as it's where I spent five years as a newly qualified community education worker in the early eighties. It celebrates its 40th birthday soon, and is unlikely to see its 50th as it is scheduled for demolition at some point in the next few years as part of the replacement of Inverurie Academy. The notice board is a lot tidier than it was in my day!
