Pan flutes v drummers

‘Want to come into town and look at kitchen dustbins?’

‘No thanks’

Half an hour later, a text from JR, in town …

‘Drummers at the Galleries.’

That’s more like it!

I was out the door in a flash, and arrived in time to see and hear a huge band of drummers and hippy people wafting around, dancing. Gosh, they were loud, but a great sound. Then they stopped. I could hear the sweet sound of pan flutes at the other side of the quad.

I wandered over for a few photos. Then the next band of drummers started up. The pan flutes didn’t stand a chance!

I had an hour in My Club, reading the papers, before meeting up with JR and going off to look at bins. Yes. Fortunately this couldn’t last long, as we had booked the film at 5:30 and needed to have sustenance before then.

Saw ‘Captain Phillips’. It was about an hour too long. And I can’t think that Tom Hanks had much fun filming it.

Got a cheque from the Auction place for the crockery. £375 - not too bad, really. Minus their fees, of course. But I shouldn’t have looked at the itemised list and saw the Shelley teaset (though not complete) went for £20. £20!!

Meant to share yesterday a wee thing about Prince George I heard on the radio, commenting on the christening photos.

The heir to the heir to the heir has more hair than the heir to the heir.

PS Check out last year's photo! -------------------------------------------->>
