afternoon nap
Still incendiary as the result of the actions of the magpie napper of yesterday's blip, I decided that writing an article was the way to go and returned to Kanayana to take some photos of the trio.
Whether it gets into print or not time will tell, but having done the research and talking to carers and the department of parks and wildlife, removing the nest with these babes was a seriously stupid idea.
Maggies are very bright birds and 'remember' the faces of those who have threatened them and their offspring.
Not only that, they will breed again and be even more potentially aggressive but the disruption to their 'tribe' is just as important.
This trio are being well cared for and will eventually be returned to their home ground. A process which can be long and involved but hopefully will result in them being welcomed back to the family.
Yeahhhhhhhh!
When I took this photo, they were ensconced in a hot box and being fed by the carers.
Crazy. Their mum should be feeding them.
