After the rain.

Gosh, it's been wet here! So today I went down to the river to see how high it was and take some photos. By the time I got there it had turned into a Nice Day. The river was high and I took some photos of the torrents pouring over a weir , a heron fishing, a moorhen up a tree, a dipper dipping... that'll do, I thought and headed for the shop. Then a flash of blue darted up the river. Kingfisher!

This was the first time I'd seen a Kingfisher AND had a camera so I blasted away!
Not a great shot here but the best I've ever got and inset is a Kingfisher wingspan .
