Green Cyclist

The weather was nice during my constitutional today. The air was cool and moving rather briskly but it was sunny. I tried to get a shot of the trees thrashing about in the wind with a small aperture/long exposure but the wind died when I pointed my camera at a local tree. I continued up to the Royal Mile and got the shot I wanted - a potted tree outside "Angels with Bagpipes" was ideal. I noticed that there is roadworks going on at the top of the Royal Mile very near the castle and wondered if they would find interesting archaeological artefacts beneath the ancient cobble stones... hmm... not so ancient as the cable TV/electricity/phone ducts revealed!

Continuing on down The Mound I remembered the "manual" settings on the camera and shot some traffic and cyclists. So, despite getting the shot I set out to get, I give you this, which I didn't set out to get but is my favourite shot of the day.
