FIRE IN THE SKY.....

...... thankfully today was a further calm day with wind which has enabled the Rural Fire Services to try and back burn and contain the terrible fires. As you have seen here on Blip from those of us living in the Blue Mountains area of NEW SOUTH WALES, and on your news services some pictures show the gravity of these fires.
On latest info this evening there have been 208 homes lost and 40 businesses plus over one hundred homes damaged in some way.
After us celebrating our daughters birthday today I went down to the Nepean River and caught this as the sun went down.
You can see the smoke still evident over the mountains, which caused the sun to be rich red (fire ball)!!!
