Apples with caramel

A quick sweet dip for an apple snack. The apples came from a local orchard, a gift from the owners in exchange for a book.

The sauce is simply blended dates, almond butter, some vanilla and lucuma to ramp up the flavour, although they are both optional. Nice as a whole apple is, sliced apples always appeal that bit more to me (any excuse to indulge).
