The Secret Power of Tic-tacs

I had a packet of tic-tacs in my pocket when out for our walk this afternoon. I shook it to get some out in a futile attempt to warm myself up in the damp, cool air by the sea. Poppy noticed that I had dropped one and immediately woofed it down, licking her lips. After that if I wanted them to come closer, we were walking alongside the golf course, all I had to do was shake the packet and they hurtled back, sat down in front of me tongues hanging out in expectation of a nice minty treat.

I think I'll keep a packet permanently in my pocket for emergency situations. I can see sales of tic-tacs increasing by the hundred-fold when this life-saving ploy gets know in the doggy community on the Black Isle. I must remember to buy some shares in the morning.

Fenton's owner would have given anything to have know about this before he took that ill-fated walk in Richmond Park some months ago.
