a sunbeam

Todays forecast was dry with the afternoon to be better than the morning. Well it was dry but the morning had sunny and the afternoon heavy of cloud. This shot of Great Langdale valley was taken in the better light and was a contender for my blip.

We decided to not to walk from the lodge but take the car to Keswick and trek up Catbells then onto Maiden Moor. The blip is from the top ot Maiden Moor.

A shaft of light broke through the thick cloud cover to light up Grange and the end of Derwentwater lake.

Just ended a nice day with a big shout as the final whisle sent England on the way to the finals in Rio.
