Before the storm

Angie, Sutan and the dogs out in the morning for a ride before the "promised" arrival of Low "Xenon II" pushed down to us from the UK who will then have High "Marcela" sitting directly over Scotland. There is even a weather warning out for our county - winds up to 65km/h.

In yesterday's Blip I mentioned the children (3 year olds) having to walk 1/2 mile to school which attracted some comments. I was having a go at the parents who moan if they can't park the Range Rover at the school front entrance to load & unload their offspring. Like most others I had a good mile's walk to school (until aged 8), a very steep hill and it was usually 100°F and 100% humidity. Another question asked (not from Bliper) - the kindergarten is not directly connected with the "Walddorf" schooling idea but of course much of the same idea behind it and supposedly very good for children with communication/coordination/over-active problems and no it is not connected to a church, they just helping out (suspect one of the parents organised this).

Having criticised the Mums ferrying their children to school in their SUVs, I did exactly that myself today. Flash again had a tantrum, refusing to go with Angie, Sultan and Luna but as soon as they were on their way, he started yowling. Packed him in the Jeep and drove him out to where Angie was and then drove away at high speed, leaving him little choice but to go along with her! I then turned around and headed back and the photo is taken with them exactly 1/2 a mile away (I measured it on Google Earth). Not a bad zoom for a cheap camera.

Until the rain came quickly did some rearranging in the bee hives (on own journal) and shredding branches. Just as the rain and wind arrived, Angie got back, so perfect timing.

Now lots of things to do inside. Hope all have a good day.
