The Shout

The Howth, Clogherhead and Skerries lifeboats came together today...A very unusual thing to happen....During the exercise a shout was called and the Howth lifeboat, under full power, and proudly flying the Dublin colours powered her way towards Lambay Island to answer a distress call. In life we are so lucky to have so many answer our calls for help and without them our lives would, at times, be unbearable....And all do not wear uniforms or fit the hero prototype.... sometimes it is the friend who calls you when you're down... who arrives unannounced with a bottle of wine...who insists on taking your kids for the day...We all need these friends, our own personal unsung heroes. My friends saved me from myself... I can never fully repay them...but I can try.... We can all be that difference to someones life....just saying...
