Final lock

Today's the day ......................... to return to base

Well - that's it then.

We had to return our narrowboat Claverton to the base at Bradford on Avon by 9.00am this morning - and this was the very last lock that we had to negotiate to get it there. Over the course of the week, we had travelled 79 miles and gone through some 100 locks in all.

We've had a wonderful time on the Kennet & Avon Canal - it has more than come up to expectation. Just have to plan now where we shall go, this time next year ....................
