Blipmeet special
Well the forecast wind certainly arrived and with it came more than a chill of autumn. I went to my art class this morning and managed to finish two paintings I had been working on so felt quite satisfied. Then home for a walk with the dogs - and boy did I wish i had my gloves on to start with. However by the end of the walk the sun came out and warmed the air and by the time Redflash and Mr F arrived on their way home from a holiday in Skye it felt positively summery - well all things are relative.
By unhappy coincidence it turned out that we had both lost a friend to cancer on exactly the same day - so a big hug was the best mode of greeting ever.
Bruce and Cara were also delighted to meet their blip friends as they had previously met them on one of my trips south. This time Redflash was able to meet them properly as previously both dogs had eyes only for my 3 grandchildren during the walk. Bruce in particular took to Mr F as he always favours men over women given the choice - also Mr F proved a very good sparring partner with the toys. Following lots of chat, a look around the garden and a cuppa they had time to pop up to the Knock to see some of the area where I am lucky enough to walk most days. Here they are, obviously as smitten with this view as I am although it was difficult for photographers with the sun shining strongly behind the hills. You can just see that Cara was wanting to be in the picture too and Bruce is, i think, hidden in the dusk doing his own thing as usual!
