the alien

We had a relaxed morning and made our slow way into town.
The girl had to go into her office briefly and I waited outside in Grosvenor Gardens Square where this statue stands. It imagines an alien crash-landing into the middle of London, and is a comment on how it feels as a complete outsider to find oneself here. I could definitely relate to it !

We went on to the Natural History Museum where we saw the live butterfly exhibition first, which was delightful, and then went into the main building to see the Earth installation, which was really impressive.

Then it was back into Victoria for a quick drink and a bite to eat before heading off to the Apollo Victoria to see Wicked, which was absolutely wonderful.
