inside the Tate
The girl and I spent the morning at the Tate Britain. I love the building itself, its grandeur, but also love the galleries and we meandered through them for ages. I especially enjoyed the Turner, and was in raptures over all the Henry Moore, but best of all was the display of works by William Blake, which was the main reason for our visit.
The paintings are surprisingly small, but it was fantastic to be able to get up close and view them in detail.
Later we went to Oxford Street and managed a little bit of shopping though it was horrendously busy.
We seem to spend a lot of time on buses, lurching and jerking through the streets, streams of people and traffic everywhere. I am a bit overwhelmed.
We got back late and had a Thai takeaway.
