Skagafjörður

On Tuesday we left the horse farm and drove back to Akureyri in our little VW Polo. We made a detour north to Sauðárkrókur, then across the mouth of the Skagafjörður, and south back to Highway 1 -- the two lane Icelandic ring road.

After checking into our hotel just outside Akureyri we went to the home of Agnes (blipper Agneskula) and had a wonderful evening of laughter, conversation, and good food with Agnes and her husband, two daughters plus boyfriends, and their friend Berglind (blipper bergfoto).

Cynthia has already written an excellent account of our visit in her blip. I'll just add that I felt like a member of the family by the end of the evening.
